  1. Start the console session.

    Plug in serial cable to console port of device from PC COM1 port
    Open PuTTY and select "Serial" connection type, change baud rate (Speed) to 115200 and leave other settings as default.
    Plug power into device and if a power button exists, turn it on.
  2. Access the u-boot commandline.

    Press a key when prompted and before the countdown ends:

    Type fap22b1!$ at the password prompt:

  3. Erase configuration.

    Type the set_image_id fap_default command at the u-boot>  prompt:
    u-boot> set_image_id fap_default . SF: STMicro: Successfully erased 65536 bytes @ 0x160000
    Type the saveenv command followed by the reset command:
    u-boot> saveenv Saving Environment to SPI Flash... Erasing SPI flash.... SF: STMicro: Successfully erased 65536 bytes @ 0x110000 Writing to SPI flash...done u-boot> reset resetting ...
    Allow the system to boot up then type admin at the login:   prompt then type the factoryreset command confirming with y:

  4. Copy all the output from the session into your records.

    Right-click PuTTY's titlebar, from that dropdown menu click on "Copy All to Clipboard"
    Open the file of record certifying the deconfiguration of this device and use CTRL V to paste all the output from PuTTY into that file. Formatting the text with a fixed-width font helps it look more readable.
  5. End the session.

    Close PuTTy.
