Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server TTC2-04

  1. Start the console session.

    Plug in serial cable to console port of device from PC COM1 port
    Open PuTTY and select "Serial" connection type, leave baud rate (Speed) and other settings as default.
    Plug power into device and if a power button exists, turn it on.
  2. Reset password.

    Once the boot process completes, type pwrec for the login:
    Starting hwstatus Starting acpid Starting inactived aunddvctbc02 login: pwrec You will be prompted for a username and then the new password twice
    For Username type root then type password twice to set it:
    Username: root Enter new UNIX password: password Retype new UNIX password: password passwd: password updated successfully
  3. Log in and erase configuration.

    Type root for the login and password for the password:
    xxxxxxxxxxxx login: root Password: password 1 alarm: * warning Date and time not validated - The system is unable to obtain the correct time and date from any of the NTP servers
    Type the factory-reset command:

    Allow the device to reboot multiple times until you are presented with a login prompt.
  4. Check that you can log in with default credentials.

    Type admin for the login and case-sensitive TANDBERG for the Password:

    Type n when prompted to "Run install wizard":

  5. Copy all the output from the session into your records.

    Right-click PuTTY's titlebar, from that dropdown menu click on "Copy All to Clipboard"
    Open the file of record certifying the deconfiguration of this device and use CTRL V to paste all the output from PuTTY into that file. Formatting the text with a fixed-width font helps it look more readable.
  6. End the session.

    Close PuTTy.
