Start the console session.
Plug in serial cable to console port of device from PC COM1 port
Open PuTTY and select "Serial" connection type, leave baud rate (Speed) and other settings as default.
Plug power into device and if a power button exists, turn it on.
Access the Startup Menu.
When prompted and before the countdown ends, press the Esc key:

Erase configuration.
Type 2 for "Erase Flash File" from the menu then y to confirm:

Manually set the ethernet PC interface IP to the same subnet as the default IP of the device which is 192.168.2.1, then connect it with an ethernet cable to port 1 on the device:

Visit 192.168.2.1 in your web browser, type Admin for the username, and leave the password field blank:

Press Enter on the webpage interface to Apply Changes then click OK in "The device will reset" dialog:

Allow the reboot process to complete and type N at the Would you like to enter the setup wizard prompt:
The Setup Wizard guides you through the initial switch configuration, and gets
you up and running as quickly as possible. You can skip the setup wizard, and
enter CLI mode to manually configure the switch.
The system will prompt you with a default answer; by pressing enter, you accept
the default.
You must respond to the next question to run the setup wizard within
60 seconds, otherwise the system will continue with normal operation using
the default system configuration.

Copy all the output from the session into your records.
Right-click PuTTY's titlebar, from that dropdown menu click on "Copy All to Clipboard"
Open the file of record certifying the deconfiguration of this device and use CTRL V to paste all the output from PuTTY into that file. Formatting the text with a fixed-width font helps it look more readable.
End the session.
Turn off/unplug the device and close PuTTy.
