Adva FSP 3000R7 SH1HU-R/PF

  1. Start the console session.

    Plug in serial cable to console port of device from PC COM1 port
    Open PuTTY and select "Serial" connection type, change baud rate (Speed) to 19200 and leave other settings as default.
    Plug power into device and if a power button exists, turn it on.
  2. Reset passwords.

    Press the q key when you see the line "Autobooting in 3 seconds" before the countdown ends to access the =>  prompt:

    Type the setenv resetpasswords yes command followed by the saveenv command:

    Type the reset command and allow the boot process to complete:

  3. Erase database.

    Type admin for the login and CHGME.1A for the password:

    Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "System Management" submenu and press Enter, then navigate to "Software & Database Control" and press Enter:

    Type 2 for the "Database" screen, then navigate using the arrow keys to "Reset to Factory Default" and press Enter:

    Ensure the "Comment" lines say "factory default database":

  4. Power cycle the device.

    Unplug and replug in the power, allowing the device to boot up.
  5. Copy all the output from the session into your records.

    Right-click PuTTY's titlebar, from that dropdown menu click on "Copy All to Clipboard"
    Open the file of record certifying the deconfiguration of this device and use CTRL V to paste all the output from PuTTY into that file. Formatting the text with a fixed-width font helps it look more readable.
  6. End the session.

    Close PuTTy.
